AT MILLER RACE CARS, we have been working with this design for several years with great success. We feel there are endless advantages in our Swing Arm 4-link set-up over other conventional 4-link dragsters.  Our cars are more user friendly than most in that with our cars there is no need to change shock adjustments when changing 4-link settings.  Strange Double Adjustable Aluminum Shocks that were specifically designed and tested for this application are included with every car, so there is no guesswork for the customer.

With this design you have virtually no need for preload, letting the 4-link work more freely without any bind, leading to unbelievably consistent 60 foot times and making every track a two lane race track.  Removal of Transmission and Converter is made easy, as there is no unnecessary restricting framework, allowing for easy removal out the top or bottom.  The Strange Engineered shocks are forward mounted off adjustable swing arms inbound the framework for better protection, longer life and a cleaner look.

By utilizing this swing arm design we have eliminated any unnecessary framework, keeping the additional weight to a minimum .  With the endless adjustments in our design there is no need for nose weight making our race ready soft tail actually lighter.  Chassis fatigue is minimized as the suspension is absorbing the punishment leading to longer chassis life.  With today’s racer’s looking for every and any edge to pick up wins, the soft tail holds it’s value making it easier for resale.  Another advantage to the rear suspension is when you decide to park on somebody in the lights the chassis pulls down without the always dangerous bounce that you receive from the hardtail cars.  And for those currently with hard tail cars considering the switch, Miller Race Cars has designed a back half package to convert your hard tail over to our swing arm design, no matter what make of chassis.
