STEVE BRANHAM WINS DRR DRAGSTER 2013.11.14 (Thursday)
After 10 Months of anticipation, 39 racers were qualified for the inaugural DragRaceResults.com Ultimate Shootout. School Teacher Steve Branham from Kingston, TN who was the last drawing winner of the year made it pay off by defeating Todd Ewing in the final round.
Steve chose a Miller Race Cars Brand Chassis which will come with some beautiful new paint by Todd's Extreme Paint.

Branham who qualified by purchasing a set of DRR Ultimate Shootout Decals, was drawn in the 10th and final drawing of the year on October 1st. Branham said "I was going to finish the year by going to the CARS Protection Plus Million Dollar Bracket Race in Montgomery, but now I guess my season will be a little bit longer".
Competing in a field of Ultimate Bracket Racers, Branham held up his end of the bargin by going 5 rounds in a "Star Studded Field". In round one Branham defeated Alabama's Bo Boatner who qualified by winning down in Memphis at the Great American Bracket Race.

Round 2 didn't get any easier for Branham who faced off with professional bracket racer Stephen McCrory. Branham advanced to round 3 when McCrory who was driving the Mike Bloomfield owned entry turned it red by -.001 in the other lane.

Branham's next victom was Tracy Sons who traveled from Hendersonville, TN to compete in the Ultimate Shootout after his late season win of $10,000 at the fall Tenn-Tuck in Bowling Green, KY. After a pair of equal starting line lights, Branham took the double break out victory by meer 4 thousandths.

Hal Blevins who qualified by winning at the Huntsville Engine World Super Pro Challenge in Stanton, MI made the trip from Kentucky and was waiting for Branham in the semi final match up. Blevins who had just defeated John Labbous Jr a round earlier seemed poised for victroy the important round. But it was Branham who prevailed in the match up and was on his way to the final round and a chance to win the dragster chassis of choice along with paint by Todd's Extreme Paint.

On the other side of the ladder, Todd "Bones" Ewing was doing equal work. Bones who opted to drive his 5.70's dialed deadly little vega over his fast dragster after his crew chief Shawn Top Fuel Langdon convinced him of the wise decission. Bones disposed of Troy Williams Jr, Brandon Taylor, this years Million Dollar Bracket Race winner Kenny Underwood and AJ Ashe to advance to the final round match up with Branham.
As the final round excitement brewed and the purse was examined you could tell the two drivers were nothing but business. The winner would be able to choose the dragster chassis of choice from a list of 12 companies. Be rewarded with new paint by Todd's Extreme and take home the Ultimate Trophy. The runner up wouldn't just get chump change, as he would receive nearly $4,000 in products from Brodix, Summit Racing and BTE.

All the excitement that was built up over 2 hours and 5 rounds of racing was short lived when Ewing turned the tree red and School Teach from Kingston, Tennessee layed down another consistant lap beside him, becoming the Innaugural Champion in the DragRaceResults.com Ultimate Shootout.
